Striking anyone with a car can be characterized as an aggravated assault, a second degree crime punishable by a maximum sentence of ten years is serious bodily injury results and a crime of the third degree punishable by a maximum sentence of tive years if bodily injury results. Assaulting a police officer is a third degree offense punishable by a maximum sentence of five years.

What you describe is a very serious offense, aggravated assault, which depending on how it is written up can result in penalties of up to ten years in state prison and thousands of dollars in fines.
