Sentencing is based on specific facts, such as a person prior criminal history, if any, the value of the stolen items and other factors. More information is required. Usually, where the value of the stolen item is less than $75,000.00 and it is the person's first offense, there is no prison sentence imposed.

If you have a prior criminal record, you are no longer a first offender and thus, there is more of a chance you will go to prison if convicted. 732/773/2768
