Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
Piligmy
My grandfather married my grandmother while she was still married in the 60's she died in 1972. My grandfather fears legal action can still be taken by the authorities even though my grandmother died in 1972. Is this true? He is now 82 years old and fears that he could be prosecuted for this even though my grandmother past away.

Re: Piligmy
Tell your grandfather not to worry. It is highly unlikely that anyone will be concerned about his marriage to your deceased grandmother at this late date. I can't even imagine any authority would know about it unless he reported himself to someone. My advice is to tell him to stop worrying.
