Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

possession

my son was aresseted for knowinglydistribut,dispense or possess with the intent to distribute or dispence a controlled dangerous substance to wit marijuana in a quantity greater than 50 grams while within 1000 feet of a recreational zone.My question is does this charge carry a manatory jail sentence?

It is a very serious charge; there is a minimum, mandatory sentence of at least a year in jail, but there are possible solutions involving less than jail.
