Because you got lucky and were Released On Your Own Recognizance (ROR). I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours in various courts throughout New Jersey in the past. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.

Re: posting bail
Posting bail is usually not required for a person with no prior criminal history and is charged with a minor criminal offense.
Call me if you like.

Re: posting bail
Are you complaining? Bail is intended to make sure somebody shows up for court. If what you were charged with is not very serious and you have a good record, they may not have considered bail necessary in your case. However, you still do need to deal with the charges. You should definitely discuss your case with a lawyer. Call me if you would like to discuss it further at 877*688*3879.
