Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
Press charges
I had someone threating to kill myself and my family. Though I am not sure if this person would ever follow through with such an action. I would like to know the amount of time I have to press charges against him.

It depends on how the police write it up. Keep in mind that if you let too much time go by, the police may not care. I suggest you just do it now and let the police worry about the time. It will either be 1 year or 5 years.
