Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Pro. Office downgradng charges

When charges are sent to the pros. office from a muncipality ( ex. resistng arrest) do they consider your previous record of convictions before downgrading the charges? If you had three convictions as a felong of resisting arrest and were charged again would the decision on whether to downgrade that charge take your previous felony convictons into consideraton? Thank you

Re: Pro. Office downgradng charges

They take everthing into consideration, including the police reports. Sometimes a case is downgraded because the prosectors office does not have the resources to prosecute all cases. Good luck with your case.
