Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

I am currently on probation in Hudson County, NJ for Terroristic Threats. The victim was an ex-girlfriend. There is a No Contact order in place. I am over halfway though my sentence, and plan on filing for early termination. My question is, will my Ex be given notice of this hearing? If so, will she be asked her opinion about the motion? If she is contacted in any way or given notice as a matter of course, is this generally done by phone, by formal mailing, or both? Or is the victim generally not notified of early termination motions? My last question is, if Probation performs a surprise home visit, and I am home but they cannot see me and I do not answer the door.. What is realistically likely to happen? Will they eventually assume I am not home, go away, and leave a card? Or will things get dramatic with Police involved and have my door opened without my consent? Thanks!!

If you are doing this through an attorney, he or she should answer all of these questions. If you need help filing this motion, call us at 1-855-9-JEFLAW. Some of your questions are hypotheticals and thus, difficult to impossible to answer. With regard to notifying your ex, she will likely be notified but exactly what happens will be up to probation. Your best move is to just find a good attorney and let him/her guide you through the process and not get hung up on what may happen.
