Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Pti

my boyfriend was told that if he pleas out to armed bank robbery that I would be dismissed. The problem is that he plead out and the prosecution still wants to keep me in it. I have no criminal record and never been in trouble. They are trying to give me PTI. I dont understand why they won't leave me alone when they claim they only want him. He ghas given them written and recorded statements that say I wasn't involved. I don't understand this legal stuff.

Re: Pti

While I usually agree with Mr. Moore, I can't here. I suggest you get a GOOD lawyer ASAP! The case against you should be dismissed. You get one shot at PTI and if they are willing to give it to you for a 1st degree case, then they must have a really bad case. Don't make a move until you consult a good attorney!

My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.

Re: Pti

If you were not involved in the crime then you should not even apply for PTI. PTI is a form of probation where if you keep up with the program, after a year or two then the charge against you would be dismissed. But if you really did not commit any crime, then you should just plead not guilty and take your case to trial. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours in various courts throughout New Jersey in the past. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.

Sincerely yours, -Ronald Aronds, Esq.-

Re: Pti

Take the P.T.I because it leads to a dismissal after a period of supervision. You can not risk a conviction for an armed bank robbery.

He who hesitates is lost.
