Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
I was pulled over under the pretense that I was involved in a theft... I had an active warrant and was placed under arrest as a result of it... when asked to search my vehicle I refused giving consent to search, resulting in my vehicle being seized and impounded at the police station where it has been the last 4 days awaiting a search warrant... The detectives illegally opened my trunk and took pictures before the warrant was issued... How long do the detectives have to hold my vehicle waiting for a warrant?

It doesn't take that long to get a warrant. The biggest issue here is how you handle the charges after they search your car. Call me at 1-855-9-JEFLAW to discuss
