Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
I was put on PTI for distribution of marijuana which was less then 50 grams. I recently violated with a possession of cocaine charge which was less then a gram. Other then this one charge, I have been complient with going to see my P.O and passing all my drug tests. I also entered myself into a drug rehab for reassure my P.O. that I am not an addict and it was just a stupid mistake. I really dont know what to expect when I go to court. Am I looking at jail time? I am a college student and I have a part time job. But would that be put into consideration? What could be the potential consequences of this violation and charge?

Mostly depends on your lawyer. I assume you had one for the first charge. I suggest you call him or her. You could get terminated from PTI and then you would be facing two felony charges. For any other questions, call me at 732/773/2768.
You can go to prison if you are found guilty of both the violation of probation and the cocaine charge. You should hire a laywer to represent you. Please contact me to discuss what I may be able to do to help you. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
