Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
I was recently arrested in New Jersey for Possition of marijuana over 50 grams, We were having a huge family argument over Thanks Giving dinner, my brother-in-law was running his month he was going to have me arrested, so I decided to leave, I was driving my mothers car, I went for a short drive to cool down and than headed over to my exwife's house to pickup my daughter, we were suppose to visit with my aunt, When I arrived my exwife told I should leave because my sister, brother-in-law and younger sister were on there way over and they were pissed off, before I could even turn around and walk back to the car they all pulled, my brother-in-law ran up to my mothers car opened the door and took the keys out of the car [ I left it running ] he than proceeded to scream and shout in front of my daughter your going to jail where you belong scumbag, the police are on the way [my brother-in-law is a big guy] I demaned that he return the keys to me, he would not, so I just turned around and walked away, I started to walk back to my parents house as it was only about 1 mile away, I walked about 1/4 to 1/2 a mile and all of sudden I could here my brother-in-law shouting at me as I turn around he was running towards me, I just kept walking, he ran up behind me and punched me in the back of my head, I thought I was going to pass out, I returned to feet and took off running, [ I run everyday] I put some distance between him and I as I approched my parents house my other brother-in-law was standing out front and also began hitting me, than with 20 seconds they were both there hitting me, My parents neighbor yelled to me to run into her house, so I did, my 2 brother-in-laws were banging on her door yelling and screaming, we proceeded to an up stairs bedroom in the back of the house and she called her husband [who was out shopping] to come right home, we were sitting in the upstairs bedroom and could here all the banging but we would not go down stairs, all of a sudden the bedroom door opened and the was a police officer pointing a Gun at Me !!!! I was arrested and taken to the police station, while I was at the police station being question, the Detective asked me how my mothers car got to my exwifes house, and I explained about the family arugument and that I left and drove over there to pick up my daughter, and than I decide to just keep my mouth shut, I was than charged with possition of Marijuana/over 50 grams, and a $5000.00 bail was set by the judge, my brother-in-law gave the police permission to search my mothers car that was 1 mile away from where I was arrestted, a car that only he had the keys to, and they claim that they found a bag of marijuana in the car. !st I know that here in New Jersey the police can no longer search your car without probable cause and 2nd can my brother-in-law Leagally give the police permission to search my mothers car ? 3rd I don't use drugs and I get drug tested at work, What do I do I cannot afford to pay an attorney $10,000.00 and Really am Not Guilty !!!!!

You need to have an attorney for your case. You may be eligible for first offender treatment.
Additionally, there seem to have been a lot of illegal activity by other individuals and the police.
Call me if you like. The fee does not have to be so much as you think.
You really need to get a lawyer you can work with.....you know how serious this is and what an impact on your future a bad decision can have.
What County are we talking about?
I have been practicing throughout NJ for the past 15 + years and recently began focusing on Southern NJ. I would like to discuss the details and how I can help.
Feel free to write back direct to [email protected] or give the office a call.

This is a serious charge, but it sounds like you may have an actual defense to the charge. My fee would be less than the amount you were quoted. Please call me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
Sincerely yours, -Ronald Aronds, Esq.-
