Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
I recently had a simple assault charge dismissed from court. Will this show up on a background check even though it was dismissed? Do i have to have it expunged?

The arrest will show up in a criminal check. You must file an expungement petition with the Superior Court to expunge the entire record so that the arrest will not show up in a criminal
record check.

You have to get your arrest expunged even if your charge was dismissed. Please contact me to discuss how I can assist you in doing this. Thank you.
