Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
I've been trying to get my record expunged but I'm told that one of the charges cannot be expunged. In 2001 my lawyer talked me into taking a plea instead of fighting the charge of: distribution manufacture CDS to wit, GHB. His most persuasive argument was that I could have it expunged and it wouldn't affect my life. Do I have any recourse to get the record expunged or to take legal action against the lawyer who convinced me to take a plea under false pretenses?
