Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
robbery charges
my son is currently on pti, and admitted to taking back from an acquaintance what he had stolen from him. $20. and pack of cigarettes, now he has been charged with robbery. Will he be in violation of pti? or can the charges be reduced? allowing him to complete his pti?

Re: robbery charges
Forget about PTI, he is facing very serious charges, either second or first degree. Thus, he is facing mandatory prison if convicted. On top of that, the original charges will be reactivated and now that he has a prior, he may go to prison for that as well.
My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss his case.
