Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
Me and my ex had rocky relationship. His car got missing for five days and was returned back. He kept accusing me of stealing his car. I got sick of it and wanted to annoy him and texted him something like this:
"Can you drop it about the Camry? What's a big deal? You got it back. I just needed a ride to the lake to have sex with some guy from his work because I get crazy horny sometimes."
It was completely for the sake of joke. But today I got a call from police department asking me to come in. I am terrified. Is that text message a proof that I stole the car? What can I do to proof myself innocent?
I did not take the car. I was just kidding.
Please, help me.
