Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

School based police office threatened kid

On Dec 31st, some kids crank-called their teacher and used faul language on her.

When school opened on January 4th,2007 that teacher instructed school based police officer to threaten the suspects with possible jail term and school suspension if they do not tell the police office what they knew about who crank called the teachers cell phone.

Fearing arest, the kids told all what had happened. When my daughter came home, she told me that she do not want to go to school because she fear being arested. My daughter was among the suspect because she crank-called the teacher in November 2006 but not on Dec 31st.

I accused the school of harassing my daughter because they used a police office without notifying the parents

Iw ant to know if i have any grounds to sue the school for harassing my daughter while trying to find who crank-called their teacher phone during school break because my daughter believed that if she kept quiet she will be locked in jail.
