Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Should I seek consultation/retain an Attorney?

Several weeks ago I was brought into custody for questioning about a burglary in a home in my neighborhood. I answered to all questions (without an attorney), I knew nothing about it. I told the truth! Apparently the Suspect is Unidentified. I believe they cornered in on me because a few weeks before this burglary happened I was stopped and searched and they found paraphernalia on me but No Drugs. This summons is pending, I still have to go to Court for. My question is: should I consult an attorney now? I haven't been charged but the detectives have called my house a couple of times to possibly want to interrogate me some more?? I returned their calls but they weren't in when I did so. They also brought a search warrant into my parents home to look for items that were stolen. Nothing was found that they were looking for but they did take a couple of my hooded sweatshirts, don't know why they wanted them, perhaps that is what the suspect was wearing? Please advise me as to what to do?

Yes you should. An attorney can help to move the process along, protect your rights, and find out why you are a suspect.

You should speak to an attorney (either me or someone else) to discuss your matter in more detail.

Please feel free to call me at 856-489-8888. There will be no charge for your first consultation.
