You pay a fine and also go to jail or go on probation, depending what the sentence is. Please call me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.

A sentencing judge has a number of options. He can impose a fine, a monetary penalty. He can place a

defendant under the supervision of the probation department. He sentence a defendant to community service. He can sentence a defendant to serve a period of time in a jail or a prison. If rarely happens, but a defendant could receive a jail sentence followed by a period of probation and community service and the payment of a fine.
