Sentencing Question

A guy I know was charged with Death by automobile(He fell asleep at the wheel) What would be his sentence for this? (This occured in New Jersey)

He needs a very good attorney. When there is a body, the State doesn't give the best plea offers.

It is a second degree crime with a maximum sentence of ten years and the presumption of a prison sentence upon conviction. He needs a good attorney.
