Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Sexual Allegations

I was fired from my job for theft

while I was also being investigated

for an alleged sexual misconduct

towards a customer. When they

terminated my employment, the HR

manager told me that the

investigation is over because of the

theft and I'm terminated. It's been 2

1/2 weeks since my termination and

I was wondering if charges were

placed against me. Should I hire a

lawyer? Police was never involved --

at least to my knowledge. I'm really,

really scared with this.

Re: Sexual Allegations

It wouldn't hurt to talk this out with an attorney, who then can contact either the employer of prosecutor in your behalf. What county do you live and work in?? I practice only in Southern NJ.

Re: Sexual Allegations

You should hire an attorney. A theft conviction will make obtaining a new job much more difficult. As for the alleged sexual misconduct, not knowing what was alleged I can not comment on that. You might call me and discuss the matter.

Call me if you like.
