You must hire an attorney to avoid a conviction for shoplifting which will limit your future ability to find employment.

I don't really understand your question. Were you arrested at the time you were caught? I mean, did the police come and sign a complaint against you? If you have a complaint against you by the police, then you should talk to a lawyer about the criminal penalties you are facing and what type of defense you may have. If you did not receive a criminal complaint against you by the police, then you may not even have been formally charged with shoplifting. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours in various courts throughout New Jersey in the past. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
