It is important to protect her future employment prospects by having the charge changed to some vague, minor

offense. You need the assistance of

an experienced trial attorney.

Re: shoplifting

COME ON! You KNOW what to do, you hire a criminal attorney. Duh! Better yet, have HER hire an attorney. Apparently she has not learned not to steal. Why bother even saying she did it on a dare? Try teaching her to stop trying to make excuses. Everyone is responsible for their actions, just own up to say she screwed up.

Re: shoplifting

Shoplifting is a violation of the NJ criminal code and as such your daughter is facing severe penalties, including having a criminal record, going to jail, paying very high fines, and having to do community service. There may be ways to either beat or minimize the penalties she is facing. I certainly would not recommend that any 18 year old go to court on a criminal charge without having a lawyer with them. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to this in various courts throughout New Jersey in the past. Please contact me to discuss this case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.

Sincerely yours, -Ronald Aronds, Esq.-
