Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
Simple Assault Charge
My 20 year old daughter and I got into a dispute, I slapped her, her glasses broke and left a mark on her face. I was charged with simple assault. She never showed up to court to explain that we kissed and made up. I now have my CNA certificate and would like to work for the State. How can I get rid of this charge without waiting five years?

Re: Simple Assault Charge
Since she didn't show up to court, I assume that the charges were dismissed right? If that is the case, you can take care of this right now. I'd be happy to discuss the process with you.
My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.
Re: Simple Assault Charge
I hope that you have not plead guilty so that the matter can be scheduled for a trial where your daughter will be compelled to appear so that the prosecutor can consider dismissing the charge against you. Hire an attorney to protect your CNA.
