What are the penalties if pleading guilty to a ''Simple Assualt'' charges if the incident happened between two students at their college.

Jail time is possible, but that will only happen if the person has a criminal record. Fines will be assessed. Probation is possible too and community service is more likely.
The most important thing is that the person will have a criminal record. I suggest you get an attorney if you are facing this charge. With an attorney, there is a good possiblity that you can get these charges dismissed.

Simple assault is a disorderly person offense with a maximum sentence of six months.
