Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Two Simple Questions

What are the maximums on Bulglary 3rd degree statue 2C:18-2 & Aggravated Assault 3rd degree, statue 2C:12-1(b) (2)?

Have the maximums sentenced for either changed at all within the last twenty years? If so, from what to what?

Thank you! Make it a blessed weekend!

Re: Two Simple Questions

By definition a third degreee crime is one that is punishable by a maximum of five years in prison. This has been the law for at least twenty years.

Call me if you like.

Re: Two Simple Questions

Third degree crimes subjuect you to up to 5 years in state prison. With crimes of violence like these two you can be ordered to serve a minimum of 85% of your sentence before you are eligible for parole. If you have been charged with these crimes please give me a call. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
