Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
slander, libel defamation?
My son and his girlfriend are going
through a nasty custody battle.
When she filed court papers she
stated that the baby should not be
around me because I have bi polar.
And that I had to have ECT
treatments because regular
medication did not work. This is so
un-true. yes, I did have ECT
treatments but my medication did
work and I take it to control the bi
polar. Can I sue her for libel, slander
defimation? she knows nothing about
my medical history yet made
statements on legal documents
about me. I have nothing to do with
their issues yet she chose to attack
me What can I do?
