Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
My son keeps using my car without my permission. He comes back home, but he keeps "stealing" my car. Is this grand theft auto? What would be the penalty in NJ if I sent the police to find him with my car. I have onstar so it has GPS and my car can be located if I notice it is gone and send the police directly to its location.

It is theft or at least unauthorized use. If he is not authorized to drive,
This could have catastrophic consequences if he is not on your insurance as well. A lot deeper than that.
