Son going to court for domestic violence girlfriend did not press charges was in jail bailed him out but both are on drugs what will happen at arraignment

In Municipal court, defendants must appear and face formal notification of their charges. They may plead guilty at this point, either to the charges listed in the indictment, or to revised charges resulting from plea negotiations handled by their attorney. Otherwise case will be re-scheduled for a trial/

They may plead guilty at this point, either to the charges listed in the indictment, or to revised charges resulting from plea negotiations handled by their attorney. If plea negotiations are ongoing, the parties may review the status of the plea offer. Defendants may also opt to apply for the Pretrial Intervention program at this juncture, or be admitted into the program if they have not applied prior to arraignment.

Fill out client name
Take out indictment (usually in front of discovery packet)
Also take out plea offer
Write indictment number and prosecutor number
If in jail, write jail. If out on bail, write bail
Circle arraignment in bold
Put the date
Terms of plea offer- write down what the prosecutor wrote
Fill out discovery, co-defendant status, and motion according to Ken�s instructions
