Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

My son has recieved a subpoena as witness to a robery. I do not want him to testify because of fear of retalliation. What can I do?

Your question is difficult to answer. Obviously, the prosecutor knows that your son is a witness.

He will attempt to compel your son to testify. Refusing to testify can result in your son being charged with contempt of court. Your son needs the services of an attorney, if he intends to refuse to testify.
