Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

my sons ex called me first with a nasty message on my cell phone, in which replyed. it went on for about maybe 10 more back and forth messages, in which each time got worse. now she said she is going to get harassment charges on me. can she do this, i still have all her messages.

Can she lie to the police and be allowed to charge you with harassment? Probably. Will she be able to prove you harassed her when you can prove she harassed you, using the records of her calls to you? Probably NOT.
