Stabbing (Domestic Violence)

My actual fiancee have involved in case were in order to be defend her self from being beating she end up stabbing him. She was arrested and released after 5 days. She never received any letter to appear before judge. Rigth we are in doubts if there will be any issue in order to reopen the case, since she pleadge no guilty there will be any chances for not get more problems ? Does she is in risk to get jail time ? We got a little daugther together (2,3y/o) case happened around 3,5 years ago and the ex boyfriend never appeared in court and also there was no complaints filed by him........

When there is an arrest and/or a domestic violence complaint there is a matter in court. Not getting a notice may merely reflect wrong information given to the Court. There should be an inquiry with the court or courts to learn what happened to the charges.
