Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
statute of limitations
20 years ago my brother-in-law violated my daughter. At the time I declined to put my 9 year old daughter through a trial. Over the years the emotional strain that it has put on me and other members of my family has risen. Am I still able to bring my brother-in-law to trial for this issue?

Re: statute of limitations
I would suggest that you place a call to the sex crimes unit of the county prosecutor in the county
where the offense occurred. A prosecutor is the proper person to answer your question.
