Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

theft by deception

i was fired from k-mart due to them saying i was stealing. i never stole all i did was have over rides done to purchases i've made. kmart policy is if they shelf price don't match we have to give it to you for the lesser price. if something is advertised as 20% off but it doesnt scan then we have to give it to you. now they said i got $500 worth of over rides done for stuff that wasn't on sale. i have all my reciepts as of day 1 i started there. i was arrested and also was charged with shoplifting. now they took my care to the civil court which i got a date for next week for a pre-arrainment hearing. now they gave me 2 charges, shoplifting and theft of deception. i'm so scared cuz i dnt want to go to jail under false statements. what should i do?
