Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

theft

Lastnight I was arrested because my former girlfriend stated that in April of 2003 I helped her break into her ex boyfriend's car and take things from it. I did not do this. What are my options can I be prosecuted on her statement only. If I was to be convicted what would happen? I have never been in trouble before.

Re: theft

You must contest this matter because the crime of theft will disqualify you from many jobs, including working for a bank or insurance company or even a home health aid provider and work involving a computer.

You can be charge with a crime based on the word of one person. You can also defend against the charge. You should call me to discuss the theft charge which has been filed against you.
