Time-Limit For Filing Police Reports
In New Jersey, if a misdemeanor occurs, is there a time-limit which restricts someone from filing a police report? For example, if a minor motor vehicle related crime is commited, can the complaintant still file a report concerning the incident a week after it occurs? A month? A year?

It sounds like your question is: When is the latest that I can file a ticket against someone for violating the traffic laws, not when can I file a police report. The limit of time for filing tickets against someone for most traffic cases is 30 days. There are some which have longer time periods, such as driving without insurance, driving suspended and driving drunk. Some of those are as long as 6 months.
