Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Should he go to trial?

my boyfriend got caught with 5 kilos of cocaine in the car (middlesex county) he is a first time offender. The cops wanted him to snitch on the senders but that didn't happen, he went to court they are offering 4-8 years(plea) he does not want that so he must go to trial 10-10, years. His trial date is in Oct. is it better for him to take the plea or does he have better possibilities going to trial? Please advise :)

Re: Should he go to trial?

Here's the problem here, I know he has an attorney. So, I am of the opinion that you trust what he or she says or you get another attorney. There is no way anyone in this world can give him any advice with the facts that you gave. Before I could give any advice, I would need to review all of the evidence in the case. Finally, he is the only one that can decide if he wants to go to trial. I can give him my advice, but I never pressure my clients.

I have an office in Middlesex County, so feel free to call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss his case.
