Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
underage drinking supervised by adult....
mom and dad in house supervising minors 18-20ish drinking beer from keg and jello shots....
a 18 year old left party drunk....got hurt falling...knees and head,,,minor injuries...
the mom and dads 21 year old son was arrested as he admitted to purchasing the beer....
the purchaser of the vodka is presently unknown....
the mom and dad who where there,all night,who own the home were not arrested.....
is this correct? should one or both of the parents been arrested as well? I believe the police made a
misjudgment here....at least one of the officers knows the mom as she went to hug him when the police arrived....thank you for any info....
