Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
Verbal threats made by patient
My office has a ''person,'' who over the last 6mos has made extreme verbal threats to numerous individuals regarding my boss. My office has contacted several area police depts and have been told that ''until something actually happens, there is nothing we can do.'' This person has also spoken with an attorney, who declined to speak to this individual any longer as well as declined to take this person on as a client, but was scared enough to contact my boss, from an outside state, that this individual was dangerous and was making extreme threats. Is there anything that me or my coworkers can do or any advice we can give our boss?
