victims rights

does the polce have the right to let the victim of a crime hear taped interrogations of a suspect that is in question of the crime but not arrested

The only real question is whether police conduct may cause the victim to give false testimony.

This is an interesting question.

The police are not permitted to be "suggestive." In other words, the police are not allowed to play the tapes if they are doing so in order to get the victim to finger the suspect.

If, on the other hand, the police are playing the tape to see if the victim recognizes a voice, or some other investigative reason, it probably would be OK.

I would need more specific information to give a more specific answer.
