Re: Violating Probation with a Misdemeanor in NJ

Violating his probation leaves him open to being re-sentenced on the original second degree charge. In addition to this he is facing sentencing on the misdemeanor charge as well. I would recommend that he consult with an attorney before he does anything else. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours in various courts throughout New Jersey in the past. Please contact me to discuss this matter in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.

When probation is found to have been violated the defendant could be resentenced on the charge for which he was placed on probation. Your boyfriend cound reeceive the maximum prison sentence possiblel for the aggravated assault. If the aggravated assault charge was of the second degree

your boyfriend faces ten years in prison on resentencing. He needs a good lawyer.
