Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Violation of PTI

I have a warrant for my arrest and wanted to know what I have to do to get back into the PTI program or can I even? I was diagnosed bipolar, went off my medication and had a breakdown.

Re: Violation of PTI

First, you'll need a good lawyer to fight for you. The lawyer will then take care of everything. I'm guessing you picked up a new charge. You have to beat that charge and quickly. Then, you can save the PTI. We just did that a few months ago for a client who had a new drug charge while on PTI.

My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.

Re: Violation of PTI

You need to surrender with appropriate bail and then have a hearing as to your termination, although the warrant may have issued because you failed to appear for your termination hearing. Then you need to convince the prosecutor and the judge that something beyond your control which you can not control cause your

violation of you PTI supervisory status.

Call me if you like.

Re: Violation of PTI

Each case is unique, and just because you had a violation of your PTI doesn't necessarily mean that you can't get back into the program. I have represented people with mental health issues in the past who have violated their probation and have had successful results. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail so I can give you better advice about your specific situation. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
