I'm 20yrs old residing in NJ is it legal

to date a girl 17 yrs old?

Sixteen is the age at which a child may consent to sexual relations so that statutory rape is not a concern. There is the offense of impairing the morals of a minor. A minor is someone who is less than eighteen years of age.
