Re: warrant process

The police have one year from the date of the crime to file a complaint/warrant against a person in a disorderly persons offense (misdemeanor)case. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours in various courts throughout New Jersey in the past. Please contact me to discuss this case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.

Re: warrant process

Usually the police cause the criminal complaint to issue immediately, but they do not have to. They can wait for more information to insure the person should be criminally charged. The hard part for the person who might be charged with a criminal offense is that he does not know what is going on

or whether he will be charged at all.

Call me if you like.
