I wrote a post dated check to a person I owed money to 2 yrs ago. It was post dated a week. He just signed a complaint for a bad check against me. can that be done ?

He CAN do it. Will the Court uphold his complaint. It all depends on the amount of the check

It depends upon the dollar amount of the check. If it is under $200.00 then he has one year after the bad check was written to file a complaint. Any amount $200.00 or greater he has 5 years to file a complaint. Please call me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
