Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

About a year ago I received a complaint-summons for loitering to commit a CDS. I went to court and the charges were dropped, the case was dismissed, and I was not convicted. I was not taken into custody, brought in to the police station, finger printed, or anything. I just received the complaint-summons.

Is this something that needs to be expunged?

Nothing "needs" to be expunged but "should" it be? The only reason not to expunge it is if you have no money to complete the process. Otherwise, I always suggest that you expunge your record. Call me at 732/773/2768 if you want to discuss this further.

If you want it expunged (and you should!) you have to ask the court to expunge it. I can help you get it done. That will clean up your record. Call me 201 820 3460.

You need to expunge the record of your arrest and being charged. There is a record of this and

what you were charged with will sound awful to a prospective employer.

Call me if you like.

I would advise you to order your criminal case history (go to your local police department to ask how to do this) and once you get it I will be able to determine if you need to have an expungement. Please contact me after you get a copy of your criminal case history. Thank you.
