Legal Question in Discrimination Law in New Jersey

EEOC age discrimination case (promotion)

I want to file an EEOC age discrimination case what cases should I review. Do I need an attorney to file the suit for in Federal Court or can I do it after researching similar case law. What do I need to prove I was discriminate against because of my age for promotion. It was a case of blatant discrimination promoting younger less experience Officers.

Re: EEOC age discrimination case (promotion)

You may want to file in state court. I need more facts. You mentioned officer is this civil service? Was a test involved?

When did this happen?

How long ago?

Are you still employed?

How much were you earning?

How much did the new job Pay?

This is not legal advise.

I am not your attorney, you are not my client.

Filing and age discrimination claim is not easy, you should get help.

I will try to help you if you give me more information. I may be able to refer you to someone who can help you or you may retain me as your attorney.
