Legal Question in Discrimination Law in New Jersey

My four female co-workers and I work at a veterinary practice in New Jersey. Several years ago, one of the male veterinarians volunteered to work Sunday hours in exchange for a high-percentage commission and extra hours off during the week. He has a 5-year-contract. We just found out the other 5 of us will be required to start working Sunday hours on a rotating basis as of January 7th, but we will not be receiving the same high percentage commission. I believe his commission is 30% and ours will be 20%. Is it legal for our boss to require us to work those extra hours (with no compensatory time off) for less pay than a male colleague is receiving? He does not have extra licensing, training, or knowledge. Our contracts do not specify any particular schedule. Thank you for your help.

You may have a claim under the Equal Pay Act; however, an employment law attorney would need more information to give an informed opinion.
