Legal Question in DUI Law in New Jersey

My brother was recently involved in a dui accident in NJ. His blood alcohol level was 4 times the legal limit 2 hours after the accident. Is the bar liable for serving him and letting him leave in that condition?

It all depends. It would have to have been obvious, when they served him alcohol, that he was beyond his limit, based on his appearance and conduct.

If he was seriously injured, I would be willing to discuss the matter with him.

He should have an attorney for the DWI ticket itself. Call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss.

Possibly. However, it will not effect any traffic or criminal charges against him. It would only apply to any lawsuit by any injured party in the accident even him. He should talk to a NJ attorney as soon as possible. I would suggest someone who's office is near where the incident took place.
