Legal Question in DUI Law in New Jersey

DWI in CO, Just moved to NJ

I plead to guilty to a DWAI in Colorado. In CO if you are under .08 but above .05 that is what they charge you with. As a result my license has been suspended (I had a NJ license). It is set to be reinstated on 01/02/2009, pending the completion of several requirements. I have moved back to NJ a week ago. I am unsure on how to handle this situation, do I have to travel back to CO to get my NJ license back? Can I just go to the DMV and get a new license?

Generally, the DMV's have juridiction within their own states... so if you have a NJ license, you would have to go to any NJ DMV in order to reinstate your license, if it was suspended to begin with. A State can only suspend your driving privileges within that given State... much luck!

No you do not. You need to go to NJ DMV and pay the reinstatement fee and you should be fine.
